Window Modes, Ltd., the design industry’s premier source for innovative window treatments, has added two new styles to their successful Island Collection of Roman fold shades. These distinctive, hand-woven treatments are BARBADOS, shown left, made of fine wooden reeds woven with natural grasses and MARTINIQUE, centered, a combination of different sized bamboo rods mixed with grasses of the same color. BERMUDA and ANTIQUA, shown on the right, are from the original collection and are now available with custom colored bands.

The Island Collection has a unique character that imaginatively captures the essence of tropical places. Named for the islands from which their materials are drawn, each shade has a distinct personality and subtle see-through effect that provides a pleasant ambiance, while maintaining a sense of privacy. These tropical motifs are composed of wood pulp strands, natural grasses, tortoise shell slats, bamboo dowels, ramin reeds and other indigenous materials. The entire Island Collection can be made to custom specifications and in custom colors. Manual clutch operation and motorization are optional features.
