PURCHASES CHATALBASH RUG COMPANY

Restoration by Costikyan™, the leading company in the care, restoration and cleaning of fine rugs and tapestries since it’s founding in 1886, has purchased the Chatalbash Rug Company, a leading supply house for oriental rug and carpet materials for the trade for the past twenty-five years.

The new company, Chatalbash by Costikyan, will offer a wealth of experience and outstanding customer service by combining the expertise of four generations of the Costikyan family with three generations of the Chatalbash family. Ron & Doris Chatalbash, the principals of the Chatalbash Rug Company will join the new company and continue to provide the excellent service for which they are renowned.

In addition to their cleaning and fiber protection products Chatalbash by Costikyan will carry an expanded line of rug and carpet supplies including rolls of wrapping paper and plastic tubing, environmentally friendly non-slip padding by Jade Industries and Appleton wool. They will feature an exclusive line of cotton Oriental rug fringes manufactured in the United States. Continuing their distribution of Michael Halebian, Inc. products, they will also add his complete line of hard wood and tile surface products to the mix. In addition they will also become a full distributor for Masterblend, carrying a complete line of rug, carpet and upholstery cleaning supplies.

This venture will make it possible for Costikyan to provide the customer with all the elements necessary in the quality care and restoration of their rugs and tapestries.
