NEW GALLERY OWNER AT THE MANHATTAN ART & ANTIQUES CENTER
SOURCES ITEMS FROM HER GALLERY TO CREATE ECLECTIC INTERIORS
The Manhattan Art & Antiques Center is now home to V&N Stern Gallery, #66, specializing in 17th to 21st century art, furniture, lighting, jewelry and objects of art. Natalie Stern, gallery owner and interior designer, utilizes items from her gallery in creating unique and eclectic interior spaces. Natalie skillfully integrates antiquities with elements from a variety of periods to design home environments with a distinctive personal flair. The gallery will be a wonderful new resource for designers and their clients, as well as collectors and customers looking for special pieces to add interest to their environments.
Natalie Stern first got her start in home furnishings by designing apartments for personal friends. They loved her sense of style and wonderful taste. Successful with these ventures, she decided to continue her work on a professional level and is now both an interior designer and a gallery owner at The Manhattan Art & Antiques Center.
Featured in the photos is a New York City apartment where Natalie has blended furniture and art sourced from her gallery from a diverse selection of periods and countries. Notable items included in her design scheme are Verner Pantone window panels, a Henry Matisse tapestry (1951), a Paul Evans coffee table, Fontana Arte sconces from the 1950s, a Scandinavian dining table after a Hans Arp 1950s design, a bronze console by Giacometti, a 1910 German bronze plaque and Daum glass plates from the 1970s by Salvidor Dali.
V&N Stern Gallery also showcases original jewelry designs by Natalies son, Val Stern. Artistic and sculptural in form, Val Sterns jewelry is wrought in platinum, gold and silver. Some of the pieces feature precious stones.
